Summer tent wedding at Kernu Manor

August 2025

Ann and Henrik’s August tent wedding at Kernu Manor was remarkable. It was a day where genuine love and a festive atmosphere created in the midst of nature intertwined into a harmonious whole. The manor setting, the greenery, and the elegant tent celebration created the perfect backdrop for their wedding day.

For the couple, it was important that all guests could be fully present and enjoy the celebration without rushing or any logistical worries. Thanks to trusting collaboration and a shared vision, this summer day turned into a truly beautiful wedding. A day when both the couple and their guests could feel that everything was exactly as it was meant to be.

The couple’s memories from the wedding

Why and how did you decide to get married?

In both of our families, marriage and traditional family values have always held an honored place. After several years of happy life together, it felt natural and meaningful to take the next step.

How long was your wedding planning process?

We got engaged exactly one year before the wedding date, so the planning process took about 11 months.

What was your wedding vision/theme? How did you bring your ideas to life?

We wanted to have our wedding in Estonia because it felt both logistically and emotionally the simplest and most natural choice for us. Estonia offers many beautiful locations that matched our vision of a sunny and lovely celebration day.

Celebrate Group was a great help in shaping our ideas and planning the execution. Since we had never organized such a large event before, they helped us clearly articulate our thoughts and turn them into a perfect day that matched our wishes exactly.

Did you have to make any major compromises in your plans?

Not directly. Once we confirmed the initial plan, everything went smoothly from there.

What were your wishes regarding gifts and flowers from guests? Why did you choose to handle it this way?

We didn’t want flowers because we were leaving for our honeymoon immediately after the wedding and wouldn’t have been able to enjoy them anyway. Since weddings are quite an expensive undertaking overall, a monetary gift in an envelope suited us best.

Tell us about how you chose your wedding venue. What was the main criterion in making your choice?

At the beginning of planning, we determined the number of guests, which made the availability of accommodations one of the most important factors in choosing the venue. We wanted all guests to fully enjoy the celebration without worrying about late-night travel or transportation. After exploring different options, we realized fairly quickly that a manor wedding suited our style and personality best.

What would you do differently today when planning your wedding?

We wouldn’t do anything differently; all ideas and plans were carried out smoothly together with the team.

The most touching moment of the wedding?

The most emotional moments were the “first look,” when the groom became emotional. Another heartfelt moment was definitely the ceremony, during which we realized that everything was truly real.

Which moments stood out the most for you and your guests?

During the ceremony, the groomsmen were surprisingly emotional. We also fondly remember the heartfelt speeches given at the wedding. Additionally, both we and the guests loved the wedding bands, which got even people who don’t usually dance onto the dance floor.

What were you willing to spend the most on at the wedding, and where were you willing to save if necessary?

One area we were definitely willing to invest more in was the food. We both enjoy cooking and appreciating good flavors, so we wanted to offer our guests a truly special and memorable dining experience. Chef Jevgeni and his team put together a delicious menu that met our expectations in every way.

What surprises did you encounter on your wedding day? Did everything go exactly as planned?

At first, the August weather didn’t seem to be on our side — the wedding morning greeted us with rain and chill. But just as the ceremony began, something truly magical happened: the sun came out from behind the clouds, and the venue became so beautiful and colorful. That moment brought smiles to both us and all our guests.

What would you definitely recommend future couples keep in mind when planning their wedding?

Start planning and shaping your ideas early — time really flies! Weddings can be expensive, so it’s wise to set your initial budget a bit higher. That way, it’s a pleasant surprise if the final costs end up being lower.

Why hire a wedding planner?

The main reason is the desire to truly enjoy your wedding day. With Celebrate Group, we had a professional and warm team by our side who supported every idea and were present at every step. With them, there were never any worries or confusion, and everything ran smoothly. Without them, we would probably have gone crazy planning the wedding on our own, but with their help, the entire process was seamless and even enjoyable.
